• Bob Brown

Bob Brown Bob is in his 28th year in the aquarium hobby as a member of the Kitchener Waterloo Aquarium Society. He was a junior member from 1964 to 1968. At that time the meetings were held at the Victoria Park Pavilion in Kitchener. The yearly show and auction was held at the Casino Hotel (now Golf's Steakhouse.) After a year or two of urging from a fellow Police Officer and friend Rein Breitmaier, Bob rejoined the club again in 1983 and has been a member ever since.

He has held numerous positions on the KWAS executive including President. Bob has been a member of the executive for the past 17 years and in 2002 was the recipient of the Bob & Dorothy Daniells Service Award. Bob was also involved with CAOAC and their executive for several years and was at one time their Vice-President. He currently has 8 aquariums in his home ranging from 5 gallons to 55 gallons where he raises and has raised an assortment of tropical fish and plants.

Bob is now a retired Police Detective from Waterloo Regional Police Service. Bob is also a Security Director for a large nightclub and restaurant in Waterloo, The Flying Dog/Revolution. Being retired will no doubt allow Bob more time for his true passion the Tropical Fish Hobby.
