Hi all! As I was doing the gravel vac for my camallanus treatment, I noticed a bit of BGA growing on my baby tears. How could the BGA form here? The baby tears is in front a 400 GPH koralia, so that rules out lack of flow, and my NO3 levels are in the 10-20 range so that rules out lack of NO3 as well. I don't (well, I admit. I did before.) overfeed my fish, so that also rules out the excess "garbage" on the substrate also, so what is causing the BGA to grow? I have experienced BGA once and it wasn't good. I ended up nuking it with BGA remover from... I forget what company. It did end up getting rid of everything. I don't want to pay $18 for it again to treat what seems to be such a curable problem. Any ideas?

I've noticed my Rotala rotundifolia isn't as spunky and fresh looking as it used to be. It hasn't been moved and is recieving the same light and ferts as it always was however there are no leaves on the lower 6 or 7 inches of the stems. The tops don't look too bad. I read somewhere that I should be cutting the plant off just above the bare stems and replanting?

Thanks.
