I understand the "dumping" of the fish if you're breeding for profit/sale however, if you're happy with them, and they are a nice addition to your tank, why not keep them?
If you plan to get rid of the fry or adults, please be upfront and let the potential buyers know that the breed is somewhat indeterminate. I know this is a no-brainer, and there's a huge discussion thread regarding cross-breeding of fish, but I just thought I'd reiterate.
The adult fish are quite attractive, it will be interesting to see what the fry turn out like... I'd love to see some pics when they colour/grow up a bit!

Thanks for the input, guys. But, can anyone answer the question once and for all ??

From the pictures submitted on this thread, are we still talking about "Bumblebee" or "Metriaclima Zebra gold/blue" ?

I'd like to see more pics of the fish in question...

Cause the ones posted previously in this thread don't look like either fish to me....

Yes, this is an old thread started by me a year ago but there is no solution to identity. May be I should take them to the next meeting ?

Here's some pics for the grown up little ones. As I say before, male and females can be either color! It is not exactly "Kenyi" as the color is more "Brownlish Gold" than "Yellow".

Wonder if these pics help ?

i have bumble bees in my tank, I'd have to look up their real name, Mbuna species I think, anyway, They are only one strain black and yellow colouring. the feamales stay more yellow with black stripes, The males go very black with the yellow only really showing when not spawning. The fish I saw in your pics I'd have to say are either straight keni or mixed keni, in my opinion. I've had a lot of the common name bumble bee variety.
