Picked up a few angels last night.....

lastnight I went to the "breeders" house to pick up some more of those red-top blushers...

couldn't help it... (sometimes I like girls)
my GF was with me at my lfs... then he came in,... and since she said they were pretty, he offered to GIVE HER SOME...

so she asked me what I was looking for... I told her (so I wouldn't be the ones picking them out)

she made me proud. we brought home 8 freebies... 7 that look stellar! one (which I admit I picked) is the worst looking of all... but in my defense I only saw the face... and I liked him... he has a black Koi spot on his forehead!

I'll take pics when I can...

So like I was saying, my GF got me 8 freebies, and all 11 are doing great. hawever, I noticed that as some of these are growing, fin rays are starting to distort.. I believe there's about 5 or 6 worthy of "breeding stock" so she's going to adopt the others when she sets up her tank.

These lil guys have nearly doubled in size... but have no recent pics just yet.

I swear every time I walk in to the kitchen (where this tank is) they all rush to the surface silently screaming "Food... Food... Food?!?!!?!?!" Gawd they're lil piggies.

I also aquired a trio of baby albino bristle nose... had to seperate 2 of them because of obvious "teritorial disputes." (most likely males) but then, the one looking more female (narower head, no sign of bristles forming) kicked the bucket... no sign of distress, no agression... just died. Hmmm.
