Chromides (IMO) will get nippy with the rams........ they may know their place with some of your bigger fish but with rams they will tear them up I think........
Hi All
I've recently been changing up my tank a little. The current inhabitants are listed in my signature. I would describe it as a Tanganyikan community with lots of colourful immigrants.
The Tangs seem to get along great with everything in there. The Severum is the biggest fish in the tank and no one challenges him. The Blue Acara might as well be called Gandhi he is so peaceful. And the Red Chromides, little as they are, also mind their own business.
I'm considering slimming down the dither fish (rainbows and barbs) in favour of some more interesting, smaller cichlids.
I can't help thinking that if the Red Chromides are doing well, perhaps some Ram Cichlids would do just as well. I've never kept this fish before, but I am seeing quite a few nice ones at reasonable prices at BA. Any opinions?
